It takes education to make it a reality and is something we always strive to do at Visit Tanzania Tours & Safaris on every tour we operate. EcoTourism also provides effective economic incentives for conserving and enhancing bio-cultural diversity and helps protect the natural and cultural heritage of our beautiful planet.

Principles of EcoTourism in Tanzania

EcoTourism is about uniting conservation, communities, and sustainable travel. This means that when our visitors participate in one of our Visit Tanzania Tours & Safaris, we encourage them to adopt the following EcoTourism principles at all times:

      • Minimizing physical, social, behavioral, and psychological impacts whenever possible
      • Building environmental and cultural awareness and respect with our visitors
      • Providing positive experiences for both our visitors and hosts
      • Producing direct financial benefits for conservation
      • Generating financial benefits for both local people and private industry
      • Delivering memorable interpretative experiences to our visitors that help raise awareness and sensitivity to Tanzania’s political, environmental, and social issues
      • Helping design, construct and operate low-impact facilities
      • Recognizing the rights and spiritual beliefs of the Indigenous People in the Tanzanian community and working in partnership with them to create empowerment
